Bullets from Paradise - July

July 7
Before I drift to sleep, I place the heart on the pillow next to me. The heart-shaped rose quartz is the size of a small apple and fits perfectly into the palm of my hand. It is smooth, the colour of Virginia ham. Often I fall asleep while still holding it in my hand. At first it is cool to the touch but after a while, it begins to warm until it matches my body temperature. Rose quartz the perfect antidote to insomnia. Placing one under your pillow is a sure way to beat the stresses that we accumulate and keep us awake at night.

Do you reckon that a Porche 944 convertible, advertised at $15,000, is a good deal for a 1990 car with 90 000 Km? Well, so you haven't forgotten about me, after all...

I hope you feel like an arsehole for the way you just vanished into thin air like that. After all, it’s been a month. You haven't even thanked me for any of the letters and gifts I've been sending you every week. I've poured my heart out to you and putt a lot of time into those letters to let you know just how much I care. You know, this has got to be a two-way thing, babe, or we might as well forget about it! I'm still waiting on that photograph you promised to send, two months ago? Since it doesn’t sound as if you're going to get your sweet ass over here before the next millennium, I figured I should reconsider the offer you made back in June and join you for NY2K at lake Eildon. Is there still time to squeeze in an extra guest on your end of year houseboat party? Besides, I’ve been terribly home sick. Since coming back to Switzerland, I’ve felt like I was squeezing into a dress that’s a size too small. Like I’m not entirely free to by myself. I miss the scent of eucalyptus and the great Aussie life-style and I might as well clock up some more Frequent Flyer points! By the way, I don't suppose you're coming to my house warming party next weekend?
